Born and raised in Southern California, Suhey Tapia embodies the fusion of cultures and languages that define the region. She found her calling in the art of interpreting, becoming a certified court interpreter fluent in both Spanish and English.
Suhey's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation from Middlebury Institute of International Studies, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Linguistics from UCLA.
The courtroom has become Suhey's arena of expertise. With precision and cultural sensitivity, she facilitates communication between Spanish-speaking individuals and the legal system’s staff, ensuring language access.
Beyond the courtroom, she collaborates with the U.S. Department of State as a Spanish Interpreter contractor for the International Visitor Leadership Program. In addition, she extends her expertise to various sectors, including non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and local government entities.
