Mary Barrera is the Founder, President, and Senior Translator and Interpreter at Contextos, LLC. She was born and raised in Mexico, where she worked as an English as a Foreign Language Instructor for over 7 years, and as a Cambridge Speaking Examiner for the University of Cambridge, UK. After moving to the United States in 2012, she completed The Community Interpreter training program and has been working as a medical interpreter and translator since then. Mary is a member of the American Translators Association (ATA), she is the Administrative Assistant for the Upper Midwest Translators and Interpreters Association (UMTIA), and she has also collaborated with the Delaware Valley Translators Association as a guest author for the DVTA Blog.
