Ingrid is originally from the land of the Mayans. A mother of three wonderful kids. She has been an interpreter for the state of Utah during the last 14 years, serving the LEP community as a court, community and medical interpreter. Certified as court and medical interpreter (CMI). She teaches the Community Interpreter and Cultural Competence programs. She is part of the team of Spanish interpreters of IHC-Utah Central Region. She is a member of NAJIT, IMIA, CHIA, NATI, UTIA and Guatemaltecos Unidos en Utah.
She has been serving as president of UTIA since January of 2014.
