Celebrating The Foundations of Our Diverse Society

Who we are

CCC Promotes Inclusivity on a Global Scale

Cross-Cultural Communications (CCC) was founded in 2001 by Marjory Bancroft, an accomplished author and immigrant who has lived in eight countries. Marjory’s global experiences and deep expertise in the field led her to create The Community Interpreter® program, the first and most comprehensive training program for medical, educational, and social services interpreters.

Today, CCC is led by John Arroyave. John holds the highest certification available for community and medical interpreters, setting a new precedent in the field. He is a passionate advocate for language access, having witnessed the life-changing and often life-saving impact of professional interpreting. John’s dedication ensures that CCC remains at the forefront of interpreter training, bridging language barriers and promoting inclusivity on a global scale.

We offer excellence in training, publications, and consulting, with a special focus on medical and community interpreting as well as cultural competence. Our interpreting programs support staff interpreters, bilingual staff, freelancers and interpreter trainers.

Our cultural competence programs (including How to Work with an Interpreter) support all those who serve linguistic and cultural minorities, especially immigrants and refugees.
