Ayuda

Ayuda is a nonprofit that provides legal, social, and language services to low-income immigrants.

CCC partnered with Ayuda to deliver multiple specialized training programs:

Interpreter Training to Support Immigrant Communities

Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center

The Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center serves immigrant families on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, helping newcomers navigate school systems, healthcare, legal services, and more.

To strengthen their language access efforts, CCC delivered the Introduction to Community Interpreting workshop and the 40-hour The Community Interpreter® International (TCII) program. These trainings equipped bilingual staff and volunteers with the professional skills and cultural understanding needed to interpret effectively in high-stakes settings and better support the region’s growing immigrant population.

Trauma-Informed Training for Staff Interpreters

AshaKiran

AshaKiran is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides support and services for individuals who have experienced trauma, with a focus on the unique challenges faced by those from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

CCC delivered the It Breaks My Heart: Interpreting for Trauma training, equipping staff interpreters with the tools and strategies to navigate emotionally sensitive situations with professionalism and care.
